Do like protecting people or other people property than becoming a Security Guard would be a great career for you. Security guards provide protection for companies and organizations which usually involves patrolling the premises, either by foot or in a company vehicle . Security guards patrol for suspicious or dangerous people or activity that might be detrimental to the safety of the facility. Also security guards are expected to monitor the people who enter and exit the facility, and may be permitted to restrict access to individuals with clearance. The most important aspect of the job, is to to provide service in a polite and professional manner. The job can some time be stressful in certain situations, so make sure you can under pressure.

How To Become A Security Guard

A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required for this position, and some employers may prefer those who have at least an associate’s degree. Many entry-level positions are available. Many states require personal security guards to be licensed, and classroom training may be required as part of the licensing process. The classroom training may last anywhere from 8-16 hours, and individuals will also be expected to participate in field training. Topics like law enforcement communications, use of force, report writing, evidence handling, and crime prevention are all addressed in the training.
