Key Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries for revenue, receivables, regulatory assets and liabilities, accruals, amortization and prepaid expenses
Prepare comprehensive general ledger reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts monthly
Analyze monthly transactions for regulated companies and collaborate with other departments to investigate and explain variances
Prepare critical monthly and quarterly reports for both internal management and external regulatory bodies
Support quarterly and annual financial statement preparation, including footnotes and specialized FERC reporting
Participate in year-end external audits by preparing detailed schedules and comprehensive supporting documentation
Develop and maintain desktop procedures to ensure process excellence and knowledge transfer
Provide analytical support for ad hoc reporting and special projects as business needs arise

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Prepares financial reports in a timely manner that are in compliance with GAAP and accurately reflect the financial status of the company
• Assures accounting integrity of corporate financial data through the implementation of appropriate internal controls
• Independently prepares schedules and journal entries
• Keeps abreast of and applies GAAP, SEC regulations, and relative company policies, practices and procedures
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s – Accounting / Finance / Business
• Experience: 2+ years
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s – Business Administration
