Director - Project Finance

Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy is currently searching for a Director of Project Finance for our Treasury organization. Our Treasury group provides shared services and resources for NextEra Energy and all of its subsidiaries. The Director of Finance will be a key part of a team that is responsible for the execution of asset-backed financing transactions for NextEra Energy and its subsidiaries. Responsibilities will include financial analysis, financial modeling, managing due diligence and negotiating financing documents. The position will work with financial institutions and cross functional teams throughout the company to execute asset-backed financing, tax equity and capital markets financing transactions. The incumbent will also support Treasury’s compliance responsibilities.

Job Overview
Leaders in this role are responsible for financing of company projects through capital markets, banking, and private placement markets. Oversees a team that identifies and conducts complex analyses of financial impacts of issues and/or decisions facing the company and proposes strategies to maximize financial performance of company.

• Develops and executes departments strategy
• Makes key decisions that effect processes and policies
• Oversees and controls budget and forecasting decisions
• Directs the execution of financial programs
• Oversees and directs contract program objectives and utilization of funds
• Develops, coaches and mentors team members
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience: 10+ years
• Supervisor/Management Experience: 5+ years

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s – Accounting / Finance
• Master’s Degree
